The main activities of this laboratory are in the field of production of recombinant insect products with medical applications such as larval therapy enjoying the financial support of the Ministry of Health and the Vice President for Science as well as identification, cloning, expression and determination of the structure of Lucilia collagenase for therapeutic purposes.

The MVRG Department is part of the RIIP Malaria Network (International Pasteur Institute Network) and PAYAMENT (Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan) Malaria Network in WHO/EMRO.
